Motivational Tips

  • Move Every 30 Minutes

Our sedentary lifestyle is draining our energy!  Cant’ make it to the gym, fine but you need to try to move every 20-30 minutes, even if only briefly.  Simply standing up and stretching reverse impact of sitting.

  • Eat Your Crucifers (Kale, Broccoli and Spinach)

We all know that eating vegetables is important for our health, crucifers are especially amazing.  Not only are they low in calories and high in nutrients but they are amazing at detoxing our cells.  So go ahead and throw some kale and/or spinach in your next smoothie.

  • Set a Fitness Goal

Too often fitness goals revolve around weight loss.  Maintaining a healthy weight is important, however this is not the same as a fitness goal.  Would you like to have more energy to play with your children, hike a mountain, run a mile, or not getting out of breath walking up the stairs? These are examples of fitness goals.

  • Challenge Yourself and Friends to Eating Minimal Sugar and Processed Foods

Processed sugar is truly killing us and it is because of the impact it has on our genes.  And yes, some of you truly have a “sweet” gene.  Choosing alternatives such as monk sugar, Stevia and Swerve can help.  Honey and dates are a healthier alternative because of the various nutrients.
